I haven't read the book...yet. Following my golden rule - I will read the book before I see the movie.
If you've read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, talk to me. What did you think? Should I read it?

Here's my take:

Eat, Pray, Love is definately one of those books that people either love it or they hate it. I happen to be one of the ones that loved it.
For me, it was good because I was at a point in my life where I was also feeling a bit philosophical. For this reason a lot of the story resonated with me, if that makes any sense at all.
I hope you enjoy it as well.
It had a strong start for me because I felt like she was really honest about the dissolution of her marriage an the responsibility she had for both it and getting her life back on track. As she went along, it kind of petered out for me and ended up being okay.
Funny that you posted this because I was just contemplating this book/film. As a book, I don't think it appeals to me. I think it will probably lose me in the lulls. As a film, I can't wait to see it.
My policy is the opposite of yours. I see the film first and then read the book. For me, the book is always better and if I read the book first the film disappoints. So I let the film marvel me and then unravel the truth in the book.
You have a lovely blog.
Simple, clean, pretty, and your voice shines.
I know you don't know me but: BRAVO!
PS Thanks for posting this trailer. This was my first time seeing it.
