My younger son loves dogs, and has been going bananas this month with all the great children's books out there with dogs in them - and now he has a real one of his very own! Imagine the excitement for a minute. Picture yourself at 6 years old and asking every day for a puppy...and then, through some miracle of fate...you have one. He is beside himself with joy!
Who am I kidding? We all are!
Normal life as I know it has gone bye-bye. I am doing my best to focus on anything other than this sad little face, but it's impossible. We adopted him from an animal rescue this past Saturday. He's still very scared, but once he realizes that all he is going to get from this family is love and affection, he'll be fine. He is such a good boy, and we're all completely smitten with him!
So, for any deadlines I may have missed, any e-mails that haven't been answered, just take a look at this face! Awww. Isn't he cute?

We're huge animal lovers in my family, and I've never rued the day we adopted a grown cocker spaniel from the pound. We were blessed with his companionship for 11 years, and he was just another beloved member of the family!!
