Thankfully Reading Weekend: Mini Challenge #2

My To-Be-Read Corner!

Welcome back to the Thankfully Reading Weekend, hosted by Jenn's Bookshelves, Beth Fish Reads and Devourer of Books.    This mini-challenge is hosted by Beth Fish Reads, and she wants us to post a picture of our To-Be-Read Pile or any bookshelf.

The Man was getting tired of tripping over my piles of books - I had a method to my madness!  But he wanted me to get everything off the floors, desk, kitchen counters, dressers, nightstands, etc. and into a book case.  Silly me, I thought ONE bookcase would be enough!  Hahahaaaa!

Here is my To-Be-Read corner.  These are only the unread books in my house. I'm on the lookout for a comfy reading chair, lamp, and rug to make this my reading nook.  One step at a time.  I'm lucky the books aren't still stacked on the floor.

Here are some individual shots of my book cases...

And here is a close up shot of the shelves I'm going to focus on this weekend...

Some of the titles on that shelf:
Virals by Kathy Riechs
Letters to Ethan by Tom McQueen
Oogy by Larry Levin
Torment by Lauren Kate
Mr. Rosenblum Dreams in English  by Natasha Solomons
Sapphique by Catherine Fisher
The Search for WondLa by Tony DiTerlizzi
An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin

After seeing some of the videos and other bookshelves other bloggers have posted, I'm tempted to add more pictures.  Stay tuned.  (I'm going to try and get a shot of my kids' bookshelves - I love our Children's Book Collection!)

Ooooh that is going to make a super reading corner. And I'm sure glad to see that you've had to double shelve. It's nice to know I'm not the only one.

Looks like we have some books in common.

Your selves are beautiful. I love to shop for shelves. I try to keep my unread books in a separate area too.

What is it with men and not being able to step over our piles of books? Wah, Wah, Wah! LOL You're shelves are great. I think it will be a very cozy reading nook when you get it where you want it to be. My TBR Shelf?

Love your bookshelves. Won't it be great when you find that just right chair, lamp and rug?

Those are beautiful shelves! I think you're going to have a terrific reading nook.

I just added Virals to my to-read list upon the recommendation of the public librarian.

Happy reading!

I love that you are reading one of Steve Martin's books this weekend. Love him!
I wanted to take a picture of my children's section too, but it is a mess. Can't wait to see yours!

Your shelves look so neat, you definitely need a comfy chair.
I just finished An Object of Beauty yesterday, it was very good!

That's going to be a fine reading space - I wish I could get organized like that!

Those books look so nice and organized. I suppose I should be grateful my husband doesn't mind piles of books on the floor. I'm the neat one.

It looks so nice! I want to read Virals too. I think it being a reading nook would be wonderful, good luck finding the perfect chair and light.

Your book cases looks so neat. I have all my TBR books on shelves in a walkin closet. Nobody trips over them. The room started out as my craft room with all sorts of knitting projects. Now I am doing cross-stitch pictures instead and the knitting projects are being gradually squeezing out by the books. I go in that closet and I feel rich! LOL I am not but I have thought about pulling out the bean bag and sitting in there and reading.

LOVE the bookshelves! I wish that was my TBR's in my home... between review books and the books I pick up at sales and book stores.... uhhh... yeah. the majority of my reading room is TBR.

I cant wait to see your rug and chair... I can picture it! :)

Beautiful, organized shelves. I'm glad I'm not the only person with loads of TBRs. You're lucky to have Sapphique already.
